Instant electric water heaters from Thermex and ELDOM

Do you want a water heater, but not on propane or natural gas? Then we also have a solution for this! Namely the instant electric water heater.

What is an electric water heater or instantaneous water heater?

To begin with, it is good to clarify this: an electric water heater is the same as an instantaneous water heater, both provide you with hot water. Unlike regular boilers where the hot water is stored, the water is heated at a electric water heater when you open the tap. So it actually comes down to the same as propane or natural gas water heaters, only electric.

The advantages and disadvantages of electric instantaneous water heaters

An electric instantaneous water heater has many advantages, it is much more compact than a boiler. This is because the water heater does not have to store water, but only heats the water when it is needed. You also do not have to take into account with a water heater that the hot water can be used up, because the water heater can deliver infinitely hot water because it is heated on site.

It is also good to know that a water heater is cheaper to use than a standard storage boiler, the reason for this is that the water heater only uses energy when hot water is needed, a standard storage boiler continuously heats the water to maintain the temperature.

The disadvantage of the flow heater, whether it runs on gas or electricity, is that they are less powerful and can therefore supply less water per minute. This is not a problem in a one- or two-person household, but it can be annoying if you live with more than two people. If this is the case, we recommend an electric water heater.
